Gumbo-limbo (Bursera simaruba) revisited

This is a tree I started as a cutting in 2018 (see https://beginbonsai.net/2020/08/23/gumbo-limbo-baby-bursera-simaruba/ for its history, and see https://beginbonsai.net/2019/09/02/gumbo-limbo-bursera-simaruba/ for a history of its parent). I haven’t seen a lot of these developed as bonsai. They are hardy, can be easily propagated from cuttings and are very fast growers (all good traits for bonsai) but the branches tend to grow very straight and lose their bendability very quickly as they grow out (not so good).
