Wind and water
When there is only skyand waving tree lineand tall grass a silent crowd when there is no soundbut the complaint of leaves in the winda lone nightingale in the hedgeand the swollen streamshouting from its bed when the world is wind and waterwe hold our breathbeneath the shoaling cloudswhale-black jostlingand wait for the deluge.
